"Rinaldo" by Georg Friedrich Händel. a baroque opera in three acts. in a modern vest? as directed by Sigrid Tschiedl, an entertainig and witty performace was brought on stage. the tradition to see operas as dead-dry cultural supreme performances is an invention of the modern, for at the turn of the 16th century it was considered much more an amusing act of storytelling, a resurrection of the ancient greek music theaters. with today's possibilities, we had a wagonload of fun putting together this piece of musical.

conductor Marcus Hufnagl, together with the singing cast and capella incognita, a baroque ensemble with original instruments, delivered a touching and atmospheric soundtrack, the GretschHouse brought it to lights.
